The Right to Opacity

This is my final Master Thesis project in Architecture. The project is based on the idea that the city as an abstract entity should contribute to make refugees and asylum seekers feel home in a situation where they can miss their own roots and culture.

We analysed the situation of Afghan refugees, and how their community established an invisible network of connections to help each other in a situation of uncertainty and danger.

The project includes a map of the journey from Afghanistan to Turkey, an analysis of the district with the main points of cultural interest and the final encrypted map for the refugees.
